Situation : semi-orphan
Before Grace Home : Dabit lived with his mother, his two young brothers and his younger sisters. But this family was very poor and didn’t give this child a good environment. On whole day, Dabit had to work on the fields of a rich person. He cut grass, carried water, grass and wood. He hadn’t any education. On the nights only, he lived with his family but their cottage was very poor and not very useful against the rain so that Dabit often used to go to the neighbor’s house to sleep. Without good shelter he hadn’t also good health: he suffered from stomach and had skin problems.
The secretary of our organization was informed about the situation of this boy. So we went to visit him and his mother agreed to send Dabit to Grace Home to offer him best chances and education. The orphanage has a letter of the Village Development Committee which certifies he is a semi-orphan.
In Grace Home : Dabit is one of the most active child in Grace Home. He studies in a private boarding school and has good facilities. He gives lots of useful help in the orphanage. Everybody trust him because he is honest and serious.
