Grace Home

Grace Home is always happy to receive some help from volunteers. They are welcome to the orphanage whenever they want in the year.
Each volunteer will be considered as a member of our family and will become like a parent for all helpless children.

Volunteers can be involved in Grace Home by several ways :

• In the orphanage, volunteers give their time to take care of children, play with them, help them to do their homework and bring all kids presence and affection.
• In Saint Grace School, volunteers are teachers for students from 4 to 7 years old. During the school time, they provide help in some basic english lessons.
• Finally, volunteers can bring some administrative services in order to support the management of the orphanage.

Volunteers who are interested in joining Grace Home must to fill full the application form, and they have to accept and follow the rules and conditions written by the orphanage.

1. The volunteer must be more than 20 years old. Grace Home isn’t responsible of the volunteer. So that, the volunteer must have an insurance if he is sick, goes to the hospital or come back in his country because of disease problems.
2. The volunteer gives a social and free help. Grace Home can’t give him a salary for his work and can’t pay for his travel, visa and passport.
3. Grace Home provides his volunteer a simple room with common bathroom. If the volunteer wants to sleep outside the orphanage, he will pay himself for his guesthouse. Anyway, Grace Home requests his volunteer to be present at the orphanage at 7 am
4. Grace Home provides his volunteer the same food as children and staff ( mainly dal bath ). If the volunteer wants to eat something else or outside, he will pay himself for his extra food.
5. It isn’t allowed to smoke or to drink alcohol inside the orphanage.
6. The volunteer has to be always concerned by the betterment of children, like a kind of parent. That’s why he must have an exemplar behavior : having a correct and respectable language with children, not beating children, not wearing roughly clothes, not teaching children bad things or habits, respecting the nation, the culture and the religions in Nepal.
7. The volunteer must have the same attitude with the whole of children without making differences between them.
8. The volunteer is allowed to buy some material or toys for all children but he will have to assume himself these expenses. Anyway, the volunteer must inform the staff before buying, giving or bringing something to the orphanage.
9. The volunteer is invited to give his opinion and bring some new ideas, suggestions about our board committee or administrative department in order to develop Grace Home in the best way.
